What is the process for the projects I am contacted about?

Fairly Made collaborates with brands on traceability projects, collecting data from brands and suppliers. The data collection phase lasts 7 weeks, during which suppliers must respond promptly. Afterward, the data is analyzed, and brands decide on further actions with their suppliers.

Fairly Made x Brands

Fairly Made is an independent company that collaborates with fashion, home textile, and accessory brands on specific projects. These projects can be frequent, occurring several times a year, but they always have a start and an end.

Process:

A traceability project at Fairly Made follows these steps:

  • Data collection from the brand (information about known suppliers, products, components)

  • Suppliers data collection

  • Consistency check of the received data and calculation of the environmental impact of the products

Suppliers Data Collection:

This is the only period during which suppliers are contacted.

Fairly Made has a total of 7 weeks to identify and contact all suppliers involved in data collection (tier 1, tier 2, tier 3, etc.).

It is only during this period that the forms are open, and you can submit traceability information.

The forms are automatically closed at the end of the 7-week collection phase to move on to the analysis and consistency check phase.

It is crucial that you respond promptly, within 2 weeks of being contacted, to allow time for your upstream suppliers to be onboarded and respond before the end of the collection phase.

And after?

After the analysis phase, Fairly Made will no longer need your contribution for the ongoing project.

The data will be processed in our calculation tool, and the analysis results will be shared with the brands. The brands then decide whether they want to take concrete actions with their suppliers (display traceability information on their website, support for certifications, exploring the use of more sustainable materials, etc.).
