How does Fairly Made® calculate the Traceability Score?

The traceability score measures the level of transparency in a product’s value chain by tracing its entire journey, from raw material to final assembly. It helps you better understand the progress of your product’s traceability.

How is it calculated?

1️⃣ Estimated number of factories

The theoretical number of factories is an estimate of how many facilities are required to produce each component. This theoretical path is refined through data collection, allowing for an accurate calculation tailored to each component.

2️⃣ Supplier and partner identification

We identify the suppliers and partners, specifying their role and location within the supply chain.

3️⃣ Overall score assignment

We assign a global score, based on the weighted importance of each component according to its proportion in the final product.

Why does it matter?

💡 Transparency is key!

This score gives you a clear view of both the strengths and the potential blind spots in your supply chain—a major asset to ensure quality, ethics, and transparency throughout the production cycle.
